The Thames Path (following the River Thames along its entire route - complete with excellent signposts, traditional pubs, restaurants, and other facilities);

The Oxfordshire Cycleway;

Stonehenge in the neighbouring county of Wiltshire;

Winchester, ancient Capital of Wessex and its magnificent Cathedral founded in 1079

The famous two-starred Michelin restaurant "Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons" at Great Milton (another quiet Oxfordshire village in our area);

Historic Houses and Gardens including National Trust Properties as well as the University of Oxford Botanic Gardens founded in 1621 with 8,000 plants from all over the world;

Historic Churches including Oxford University’s Christ Church Cathedral plus Dorchester Abbey founded in the 12th Century by Augustinian Monks on the site of the Saxon Cathedral of St Birinius, as well as our own 12th Century Church in North Moreton with close 13th Century links to Stapleton’s Chantry;

The ancient walled Saxon town Wallingford on Thames, is just three miles away and recent archaeological excavations at Wittenham Clumps have provided a wealth of detail about Roman and Saxon occupation locally.
